Why do I Like Soccer? By Soledad Rosas In this book I am going to write about why I like soccer. I am also going to talk about what soccer is and how fun it is to play soccer. I know that I like soccer, but I am not too sure why I like soccer. On of my main reasons for writing this book is that I really, really like soccer. It sounds funny how I really like soccer, but I don't know why I really like it. In this book, I will tell you everything, not only that I like soccer because it is fun, but also why and what part of it is fun. This book is going to give you ideas about why not only me, but another people really like soccer. Sometimes I wonder why I like soccer and what really makes me like soccer. I think when people really like something sometimes, they don't know why they like it. It all started when I moved to the United States. At at that time I was seven years old. As time went by, I became more athletic and I began to like different sports. I liked different sports like basketball, baseball, and climbing. I began to be really interested in soccer. Soccer became really fun to me, and it did not matter to me that it was a sport that mostly boys liked. When soccer came on TV, instead of going out to play like my sister did, I would stay in to watch the soccer game. I had fun watching it and would feel excited when one of the teams would score. Now I am thirteen years old, and I still like soccer even more than I did before. I really like Mexican soccer and I even have a favorite team. My favorite soccer team is from the Mexican soccer league; the name of the team is El America. I always have wanted to go to Mexico to see El America play. Part of the fun of soccer is when one team scores a goal. It is also fun when it is almost going to be a goal but the goallie covers it. Soccer is exciting. When I see a game, I feel like I am the one that is playing in the soccer game. I have to learn many things about soccer, like the names of the different players. I won four tickets to a soccer game for the first time. It was exciting for me because I have never done it before. I got the autographs of the players. The game was in San Jose, California, and there was a lot of people there. That was fun. I think one of the main reasons why I like soccer is because I am not the only one who likes soccer in my family, but my dad and my brother like soccer too. My brother Juan Pablo plays in a soccer team. My brother is the goallie of his team, and he likes being the goallie. I have fun when I see my brother play a soccer game. Soccer is a good sport, but you could also get hurt if you are not careful. In soccer, there are rules you have to follow. When people follow the rules, they don't get hurt too much. One day, my brother broke his foot playing a soccer game. This did not happen because he didn't follow the rules. This happened because another person fell on top of his foot. Soccer is a very popular sport--people have soccer leagues not only in Mexico, but in many other places in the world. The teams use different uniforms in the different leagues. Soccer is great. Go play it--you will have fun!!!!
